Janet "Jan" Weintraub, M.S. Ed Resident In Counseling
LPC Resident In Counseling
I recognize that it takes courage to seek counseling and to trust in the process so I adapt my approach to meet you where you are while honoring the similarities and differences between us. By combining a culturally sensitive approach with a person-centered and strength based approach, I collaborate with you to identify and achieve the goals you created.
Growth and exploration are essential experiences for persons of all backgrounds throughout all stages of life. Because of this, I am passionately committed to providing opportunities for you to discover your true self and avenues to flourish.
Having worked 19 years as a school counselor, the role of helper has been ingrained and has allowed for a foundation with which to build my clinical practice. Along with this experience, I offer an integrative approach that incorporate concepts and strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT/Tapping). With these approaches, you will find that I infuse curiosity, empathy, authenticity and acceptance into each interaction we share.
As a Resident in Counseling, I am working under the clinical supervision of Tina Curran-Taylor, LPC and I offer quality treatment at an affordable rate for those who pay out of pocket and I can accept most Medicaid insurance plans.
